The conventional prices per head amounts to at least $100 up to $1000 on a day to day basis. But if you want to save some money without risking your own pleasure for the travel, you better opt for the cheaper deals. Is it possible to book a European cruise vacation even though you have a limited budget? Sure you can and there is no problem with that. You can always enjoy an amazing cruise trip by grabbing the bargain offers that truly suit your available budget.

What you need most are proper timing, good planning, and your budget to spend. As what is typical with the setup for the European cruise vacations and other luxury liners, the more you pay, the more services and amenities you may enjoy. This is the so-called what you pay is what you get theory. Aside from the top spots that you may get to visit on your tour, you may likewise enjoy the restaurants, buffet styles, and shopping centers inside the cruise liners.

A Guide for the Cruise Travelers

For the first time cruisers like you, it is advisable that you directly get in touch and deal with travel agents. They are the ones who know what can be the best options and itineraries for your vacation. If you are really serious in pursuing a European vacation trip, might as well work with those travel agents who specialize in arranging travels to Europe.

You can search out for the best agents from the Internet and by reading newsletters, going to the customer reviews section, and by browsing through the online directory of the travel agents who can greatly satiate your needs. Likewise, you must take time to know the do’s and don’ts of traveling to Europe by cruising.

Two of the best options that you may get while opting for a European cruise vacation are by planning your getaway or becoming flexible with your travel time. The most exceptional deals may either come during the peak seasons or during the less travelled dates. It is important that you plan out the date and timing of your travel if you prefer to avail of the discounted rates.

Another option that can be considered is by selecting a destination place and fixing a specific budget for it. You can always surf the Internet for the cruise liners that can pique your interest. Typical of a cruise liner is publishing their newsletters either weekly or daily. Their online portals are usually up to date so you can always take a look at the requirements and timeline of the special offers as to their available travel dates.

More so, the inside cabin is a lot cheaper. Your cabin would not matter a lot, so to speak. Anyway, you will be spending most of your time roaming around the cruise ship enjoying the sights and its provided amenities. Shopping, dining, dancing, and spa treats are common in these luxury liners.

Get your hands on the best deals now. Try out the adventure in a European cruise vacation.

  • ferries:

If you are visiting Europe then Amsterdam has to be high on your list of priorities. It is a truly beautiful city with so much to do. The ferry company DFDS has daily sailings from the UK - well worth a try!

  • Krakow:

I did a cruise through the Croatian Islands a couple of years ago and it was just magical. All I did was read, eat, sleep and swim and sunbake the entire time. I really loved it. I would recommend this to anyone.

  • Nathan:

The good things with cruises are that you can visit many destinations and don’t need to spend time finding changing accommodation.

The bad things are that you don’t have the freedom of strolling outside the boat if you wish, well sometimes of course but you get what I mean.

Otherwise these cabins are usually quite luxurious and do well in comparison to for example high class London accommodation.

  • Turisme Barcelona:

I made a Mediterranean cruise: Lisbon, Barcelona, Casablanca and the Canaries. Europe is wonderful to enjoy a holiday special.

  • european cruise:

“Your cabin would not matter a lot”, I do not agree with that, it matter a lot, that is your windows to Europe and virtually all river cruise cabins feature large windows to enjoy the scenery and provide lots of light.

  • Europe Short Breaks:

If you’re thinking of a city break to Europe, four places spring to mind. Amsterdam, Barcelona, Nice and Riga. An odd selection you may think. But each is a stunning city I’ve visited all four in the last 6 months! Really worth a visit.

  • Accommodation in Paris:

Cruises are a great idea, and you find that before and after often you need some where to stay and there are wonderful hotels in Paris, excellent accommodation in Amsterdam hotels. Take the time while you are there and take in as much as you can I say.

  • Akyaka:

Lets confess that any cruise is magic :)) I hope i will have a tour this year! Kross thingers for me!

  • Hotels in Bahrain:

the good things with cruises are that you can visit many destinations and don’t need to spend time finding changing accommodation.

    Thank you for the post

  • Amsterdam lodging:

A cruise is wonderful, but I prefer to stay in a nice lodge or short stay apartment when we are no longer at sea. A short stay lodge for just one or 2 night to really enjoy the city and then continue the cruise to the next destination.

  • Purpleone:

Besides a cruise, another good way to visit Europe especially if it’s your first time over is by guided bus tour. I’ve been to Europe twice on a bus tour and they were both great - the disadvantage is that you have to follow the group’s schedule and don’t have as much freedom as if you did it alone.

  • Havel:

If you’re preparing a trip in Prague, maybe the most beautifu city in Europe, you can go the website http://www.toutsurprague.fr . This city is particularly beautiful at the end of the year, when not so much people walk in the large and old streets, drinking a hot wine, dreaming of Kafka and the other most famous personality of Central Europe

  • Godard:

You can always think about renting a car when you get into a port: there are many things to see near the destination cities, usually choked with tourists and traffic. You can always have a quick getaway, if you need some rest after the cruise:D

  • Peter p:

The goodness of the cruises you can visit many areas and not have to waste time looking for a change of placement.

  • Laptop Briefcases:

Personally I don’t think I would have ever considered going on a cruise in Europe. To me it seems to make more sense to travel across Europe by train. A lot of the cities that I would want to visit are inland. A cruise would be more suited to the Caribbean or Mexico.

  • CD Mastering:

I’ve never been on a cruise before. I know prices are down and now’s probably the best time as any to go on one.

  • Tripat:

@Krakow: I am from Croatia and I spend almost every summer cruising there. You should visit Kornati, Vis and Telascica Bay. Some other places are too “commercial”

  • radiant barrier spray:

Taking a cruise in Europe can be quiet fun, really. If you’re able to find a nice, cheap deal, I would definitely say go for it.

  • Airline Miles:

While I would love to go on a cruise sometime, I think a cruise within North America would be more practical for me. The flight to Europe simply makes it to expensive. Instead I could fly down to Mexico for a fraction of the price. Still, I have heard that Mediterranean cruises are amazing. So if I can ever afford it, it’s something I will have to look into.

  • cradle:

I just completed my 4th cruise and have always had the idea that a European cruise would be a fun trip. My only hesitation is that I would want to spend more than 8 hours in such fabulous destinations. Cruising has its good and bad. The good is that you can hit 3-5 locations in a week. The bad is that you have such little time in each place its difficult to see everything that you would like to explore. Nonetheless, cruising is always a terrific bargain for what you get and a great way to see a variety of places in a short period of time.

  • Krakow:

You ‘re right … it is worth visiting less-commercial destinations.

  • flood damage:

Leave the Rolex watch and the Gucci handbag at home — no one is looking and you’re on vacation, so you don’t need to worry about the time. Keep most of your cash and valuables (especially your jewelry, return tickets and passports) in the ship’s safe.

The lightweight safe in your cabin is fine for storing small everyday items like your address book and tip money, but never put anything in it that you can’t afford to lose. Do you know how many of those cabin safes are left locked when passengers disembark at the end of a cruise? Now guess how many crewmembers know the bypass code for opening them.

  • Cagnes sur mer holidays:

Its always difficult to know what to expect versus how much you’ve paid - lots of good tips - thank you
