As someone who has worked on cruise ships for 7 years I can only say that I never got tired of Mediterranean ports of call, even after visiting them for 4 years over and over again.
To wake up every morning and find yourself in a place with a different language, different foods, different culture and different souvenirs to take home is invaluable.
It’s actually a great way to see Europe for someone coming here for the first time, get a little taste of it and then decide where to come back and stay longer!

I have always wanted to take a cruise, though till now, it hasn't happened. Either because I did not get a chance, or even when I did, I chickened out, thinking of all the time I would have to spend at sea. Also, as mentioned above by a fellow-commentor, I would perhaps take one of the many amazing trains in Europe, which is great, out of personal experience, or cut through the wonderful scenery by car. However, a European cruise does sound interesting. It does not make it to my list of Top 10 Cruise Destinations though. Here it is, for anyone who cares to check it out..
