Rico’s is a little longer walk along the beach, and is quite expensive, but the service and the food are great. For authentic local food, eat at the Reef, downtown.
You can walk or bicycle to most places on Ambergris. There are taxis and rental golf carts. Beware of the parking restrictions in downtown San Pedro and there are no lines on the streets. There are speed bumps everywhere and a few signs.
