I fully agree with Mathieu, the family is the most cherished possession of every person, but unfortunately society’s high-pressure lifestyle and work hours that zoom right through the weekend often leave very little room for the entire family to get together. A family holiday is the best way to way to maintain the family bond, these moments will help bring the family closer than ever and will linger in your memories for years to come.
A family vacation is a great bonding experience. Most times, it is a time that the entire family will always remember. Taking a vacation during the winter may not be ideal as it forces the kids to take time off school and try to catch up on their coursework. As mentioned, a summer vacation doesn’t need to be expensive either. You can still have a great time on a camping trip or on short day trips.
Any time of the year is a good time to take a vacation in my opinion. I’ll put a plug in for Park City, Utah as a great summer destination. The mountains are incredibly beautiful in the summer and the weather is typically a perfect 70 degees farenheit with hardly any rain.
I have been lucky enough to take an annual vacation for the last 10 years. While summer is the most convenient when traveling with children, any time of year works for me. All the benefits listed above will still do good for your family.
Thailand, the land of smiles would be my number one location. Not that I am biased by any means! The weather even raining season is just beautiful as is the wonder Thai nationals. They have an ability to make you smile and feel relaxed even when language may cause some barriers. Don’t be fooled by the hype of unsettled behaviors the political unrest is not directed towards the tourist and those locations are far from the city of Bangkok.

I think every family should go on summer vacations.. it is only the period in the whole year when you can take out time for vacations as schools/colleges are off and you stay busy for the rest of the year.
