I have been on many vacations throughout the world. I must say that I find The Norwegian Dawn Cruise Liner one of the best ways to travel! Especially if you are located in New York and you are looking for a somewhat inexpensive getaway.

As soon as I set foot on this floating titan I knew I was in for a nice trip. Right from the get go the staff was more than glad to help me with my luggage and any other boarding queries I had. A greeting with service and smile is always a great way to start any vacation. They even refused the tip which was offered to them. (I made them take it! It was heavy luggage.)

Once I was aboard I was shown to my balcony room. The room was immense enough and the balcony was quite large. I could already see me spending many a night out on the high seas glaring at the moon reflecting off the tides way down below.  Read more...

Arthur here. I am just living the dream. I work as an underwater photographer. I have been visiting some of the Cayes off of Belize, the reefs off of Honduras , and visiting Scuba schools all over central America and selling my photographs to tourists. There is nothing else I could realistically see myself enjoying as much as this.

At present I find myself in a very exclusive resort hotel on CR’s pacific coast, feeling the same rush of excitement as I did last month when I pulled up into the Ritz-Carlton in South Beach. This place is called Sol Papagayo Resort. It’s spectacular. The flower arrangements in the lobby alone were enough to inspire the artist in me to break out the camara.

My deluxe pad is spacious and incredibly comfy. A slight breeze is coming in off the sea, beckoning me to delve into its’ depths. Today would be the perfect day for it, but, alas, I have other big plans. The staff at reception helped me find a tour through the rain forest canopy, ziplining in a local reserve. This will be a first, and I am excited to experience the immense biodiversity that such an ecosystem boasts.  Read more...

Below are the average temperatures for some of Mexico’s in-demand destinations.

Acapulco has an average climate of 80-82′ Fahrenheit. The highs fall between 87-90 degrees while the lows are between 70-75′. The hot months are between May and October while the cold months are between December and April. Rainfall vary from little to huge amounts. Tourists can expect very minimal rainfall between December and May but they will need to watch out during the months of September as this when rainfall is heaviest. Scheduling your vacation between December to May will help ensure that you have a drier vacation.

Cancun – It’s average temperature is between mid 70′s to mid 80′s. Its coolest months are berween December to May with temperatures running from 74′-82′. The warm temperatures between 80′s and 90′ fall between the months of May and November. Rainfall is abundant throughout the year. It averages between 1.5 to 4.5 inches during the months of December through May. During the summer months, one can expect as much as 9 inches of rainfall. Plan to stay on Ambergris Caye as long as you possibly can. It still will not be long enough! The tropical breezes and warm, sunny beaches will wash all your cares away. There is so much to do. You can wind surf, para sail, and kayak. Ambergris also offers great scuba diving and snorkeling. Watch the sun rise, eat breakfast, and then explore the shopping in San Pedro. You can also take day trips to the mainland to see the Mayan ruins. Or maybe you’d like zip lining in the jungle.

Pack light. All you need is strong sunblock, mosquito repellent, shorts and tee shirts, extra swimsuits, sandals, walking shoes, and some money for souvenirs and to eat on. You can shop the stores in San Pedro or buy from the vendors on the beach. Handmade bead jewelry, weaving, and woodcarving can be found anywhere on Ambergris Caye.
