Bed And Breakfast Accommodation
First, you will want to book the entire trip yourself. Make sure you pay the extra $15-$20 per airline ticket to get the flexibility of changing your flight dates if you decide to stay a couple extra days or something happens that was unexpected. This will save you a lot of money if you do have an unexpected emergency or if you decide you are not ready to come home just yet.
Second, book a bed and breakfast on the beach. It does not matter where, just make sure it is on or very near the beach and the time of year is going to give you great weather for your vacation. There is nothing more relaxing than the ocean air, the sound of waves, and the sun shining down on the water. You will love being right next to the beach in a cozy place that feels like you are staying at grandmas house.
Last, go on vacation without a plan. Too often we want to shove all kinds of activities into our vacation when all we really need to do is go and relax. Going without a plan will give you the chance to relax on the beach if you want, take in a few sites if you decide to, and take the owners advice on where to eat and where to go to have fun. Besides they live there so they probably know better than you do anyway.
These are the keys to enjoying the bed and breakfast accommodation experience that will give you the relaxing vacation you need. Imagine a week or two nuzzled right up next to the beach with the sound of waves putting you to sleep at night as the cool ocean breeze blows gently through your bedroom window.

If you’re going on a vacation, bed and breakfast accommodations are better. Time seems to move slower if you’re in a bed and breakfast. Hotels are better for business trips or if you need accommodations near where you’re going. But couples and families should stay in a BnB at least once a year.

The bed and breakfast concept is beautiful and well worth it. i agree make no plans and let your vacation play out as you go. It is much more relaxing that way. I am looking forward to my next vacation now that I read this and yes it will be at a bed & breakfast. thanks for the post.

Thank you for the wonderful article. It makes me want to book a vacation right now. By the beach, maybe in San Diego or Hawaii if I hit the lottery.

Going without a game plan fro anything would probably be the best bet as it means totally relaxation. This looks like a really nice spot - reminds me of my sister’s bnb in up state New York.

You are right. i think most people try to squeeze a lot of activities when they go on vacation, and this makes them even more tired when they go back to work. However, it is really hard not to think about your work and children…

This sounds like a wonderful idea for a vacation plan. Especially the part about being by the ocean. I stayed in a few nice hotels in Oceanside and San Diego right by the ocean and the experience was wonderful.

I totally agree with your suggestion about paying extra $15 for flight ticket change. Last time when we traveled to Roturua in New Zealand, a storm took place just few days before the flight, so we had to delay the whole trip by half a week until the weather calmed down. Man, if we did not pay that extra few dollars, the change fee were going to cost us $50 each ticket!

Bed and breakfast and beach are words that have never run together in my mind when picturing a B&B destination. After reading this article the appeal is obvious and I may be on board with this kind of lodging in the future. A relaxed B&B is only enhanced by knowing a beach is only steps or blocks away.

I always like the more informal atmosphere of a B&B, and you always get to meet interesting people over breakfast.
