The Best Myrtle Beach Accommodation Yet
As you can imagine, a family vacation can sometimes be more stressful than staying at home when you’ve got three growing kids to attend to. We live in a cold part of the Midwest, though and after Christmas, it’s become a family tradition to rent a Myrtle Beach accommodation for a week and thaw out.
Somehow we had never tried the Horizon before. That may be because we’ve always felt like we had to stay oceanfront. This year, however, we gave one of their 3 bedroom condos a try. We thought that maybe that way, we could get a little privacy. We were right!
I really don’t know why we were so hung up on beachfront Myrtle Beach accommodations before. From our oversized balcony at the Horizon, we felt like we were at the beach. In fact, we felt like we were on an Ocean liner. The view was that good!
It was so nice to have a kitchen. Our kitchen at the Horizon was much nicer than our kitchen at home. It had granite bench tops and all stainless steel appliances. We like to eat out as much as anybody else, but since we had such a beautiful room with such a spectacular view, dining in was better than dining out!

We were still stressed out when we got off the plane and even the limo ride from the airport didn’t lift our spirits that much. I remember how it was at that moment we turned to each other and smiled for the first time. The staff at the hotel was fantastic. They made us feel entirely at home. No, that’s an understatement. They made us feel special. We’ve been to a few Myrtle Beach Resorts before, but in our experience, none of them were quite like the Avista.
