As a guest in a chain hotel you are likely to see the staff when you check in and again when you check out, staying in smaller bed & breakfast hotels enables you to meet the owners and their staff, people who have the time to give you advice and information on the city. There are also possibilities to spend time in communal rooms where you can meet fellow travelers.
Many people prefer the intimate atmosphere of a B&B in comparison to a hotel which can be sterile and noisy, and staff often have less time to interact with their guests. B&B’s offer travelers unique features and stand out by their friendly atmosphere and personal touch. Guests of B&B’s are not just looking for a room to sleep in but the whole experience of staying in a lodging that enables them to meet interesting people and receive all the luxuries they would expect from any accommodation choice.
In general staying in a bed and breakfast offers you more services and options than traditional hotels are able to and is a new and completely different experience to staying in a hotel, it can certainly make your stay in the city a much more pleasurable event. very cool, i have personally never tried a bed and breakfast. But we are planning to do a long road trip this summer and i am leaning more and more towards find a few nice bed and breakfasts then hotels
I have always prefered B&B over hotels. It makes me feel like I am at home. In a hotel, I would feel like I will always be a visitor to a place.

Good way to keep a low & silent attitude specially when you want to explore nature and its colors in their true sense.
In India I have found these a lot easy compared to the Hotels.
I can walk out anytime,have my time with the locals of the village and talk with them regarding their local legends and mythologies.
This way the BB format suits me well.
I think its beneficial for both visitors and owners, only thing thats a worry they do not have enough rooms so if u stay in a b&b, its unlikely to get a room free on same b & b specially on short notice.
What attracts me most in bed and breakfasts hotel is that they are often located in areas where the larger hotels are not. I like hiking and boating, so that is something I really concerned about.

I’d rather choose bed and breakfast hotel than hotel accommodation only. In B and B, it’s like you bring your own home into where you travel.

Bed and breakfast hotels are great. I don’t know why, but they give me a great felling.
Wouldn’t consider myself progressive but i’d agree these are good B&B tips.
Obviously Bed and Breakfast offers several advantages over the hotels. They are quite affordable and serve great home made food. Your host becomes your guide in an unknown city and you can discuss any thing about the city’s tourist places with him or her.
