Thailand is such a beautful place. I’ve travelled through much of the country and the only place I’ve no liked was Pattaya. It was polluted and overdeveloped.
I hate when people are saying Thailand is too commercial, not “real Asia” anymore, too western, blah blah blah…
As every country also Thailand is unique and is offering to everyone a lot! If you don’t like to see other tourists, you have many hidden places to avid them. You have many undiscovered places and beaches, where you will be totally alone. So, go for it. It is amazing!

Thailand has classic architectures and artistic styles. It’s a history lesson that no text book can convey..UNESCO world Heritage Sites of Ayuthaya and Sukhothai are a must see..

Thailand has magnificent beaches and fantastic snorkeling/diving possibilities, the people are friendly (Thailand is called LOS – land of smiles)and to westerners Thailand will be an exotic experience.
However, one of my favorite things about Thailand is the food, don’t go to Thailand and eat pizza, hamburger and french fries, eat local Thai food.
Another thing about Thailand is that most of the things are affordable if you come from a western country, rent a luxury villa, apartment or bungalow for a very reasonable price, a basic bungalow can be found for as much as 10,000 bath a month in Phuket (around 310 USD or 214 GBP).
