Requirements For Acceptable Bed and Breakfast
Safety
Safety is always the number one concern when choosing to stay in a bed and breakfast. It may not necessarily mean bodily safety but is also entail being safe with regards to other property. It is wise to check out the area that one wishes to travel and stay in a bed and breakfast. Areas which may be well known for thievery or muggings may not be a good area to stay in. In case, there are no other options, taking extra precautions to ensure that one is relatively safe should be exercised. Choose a room in the bed and breakfast with a dead bolt or a lock which can be bolted from the inside as well as a key lock. Windows should also be checked for fully functioning locks and catches to avoid entry from those portals. If all else fails, sleep with personal and important belongings under the bed or the pillow to prevent their loss. Hiring a safe for the time being in the bed and breakfast may be an option except when in doubt as to the validity of such safety in the safe.
I Need Help Finding Home Security Systems
I’ve been looking for good sources of information about home security systems. I’ve specifically been looking for businesses in Florida and California, but so far all I’ve found is one company that seems to have franchises just about everywhere.
Advanced Direct Security has a very visible presence online and I have to admit to being impressed with what I’ve seen. I went to their website and it is very impressive. After looking at the homepage, I went to the ADT in Florida page. They had a very informative page there and had links to dozens of ADT in FL locations, conveniently listed by suburb.
I was equally impressed with the listings they had for ADT in California dealers. This company certainly spreads a wide net! California is a big and populous state and ADT in CA has the whole state covered, from the Mexican border all the way up to Oregon.
Advanced Direct Security certainly looks like it has everything I’m looking for, but so far I haven’t found a company to compare it to. Has anybody out there tried them? Do you know of any other security systems companies I could try? Let me know if you do. Thanks!
Listen to your Grandmother and Get Fishoil in Your Diet!
Some of you readers may be old enough to remember when your mother, following grandma’s advice, forced a tablespoon of foul smelling cod liver oil down your throat every day. That practice went out of fashion decades ago, but is having a resurgence today, now that medical science has finally caught up with what grandma already knew: fish oil is good for you!
When you read the scientific literature about beneficial versus harmful fats in your diet, it can be very confusing. Especially if you’re a diet conscious person, you may think that “fats are fats” and that they are all, well, fattening. So, when you read about fish oil and read that fishoils are rich in “polyunsaturated fats” and “omega 3 fatty acids,” you might be put off. Don’t be! It’s not fat that is good or bad for you, it’s the type of fat you consume.
Polyunsaturated fats have a high concentration of omega 3 fatty acids in them. This is a good thing for anybody, including dieters. These types of fats are not produced naturally in the body and have nothing to do with weight gain or loss. These are fats that are essential to our health but are currently severely lacking in our western diet.
