I Need Help Finding Home Security Systems
I’ve been looking for good sources of information about home security systems. I’ve specifically been looking for businesses in Florida and California, but so far all I’ve found is one company that seems to have franchises just about everywhere.
Advanced Direct Security has a very visible presence online and I have to admit to being impressed with what I’ve seen. I went to their website and it is very impressive. After looking at the homepage, I went to the ADT in Florida page. They had a very informative page there and had links to dozens of ADT in FL locations, conveniently listed by suburb.
I was equally impressed with the listings they had for ADT in California dealers. This company certainly spreads a wide net! California is a big and populous state and ADT in CA has the whole state covered, from the Mexican border all the way up to Oregon.
Advanced Direct Security certainly looks like it has everything I’m looking for, but so far I haven’t found a company to compare it to. Has anybody out there tried them? Do you know of any other security systems companies I could try? Let me know if you do. Thanks!
Take a look at Safetouch. Some friends of mine have it and they think it is a good security service. I know they operate in Florida but not sure about CA.
One other I looked at, Be Home 24/7 markets a self install home monitoring system, one step above a pc webcam, they provide an interface that connects to your router that ties into their monitor service. They have motion sensors along with cameras with programmable trigger events that call your iPhone, etc.
Not as tamper resistant as the big name security systems, maybe more geared for nanny cam purposes.
In principle, the security system anywhere near the same, except that the technology is slightly different and so is a different brand, but do not look for construction but the ability and sophistication of the technology.
Can’t do better than brinks of ADT for this sort of thing. Nationwide coverage, outstanding customer service, and most importantly a name that people trust and criminals know. Studies show that more often than not it is the sign and name that deters the crime, not the actual system.
I would go with ADT. Their reputation can’t be beat.
