Bed and Breakfasts Instead Of A Hotel
The atmosphere in a hotel can be chaotic at times. You may have to wait a very long time to get your breakfast, to check in, or to get the front desk to address some other need you have. With most bed & breakfast locations, your needs will be met immediately and you can get back to enjoying yourself. This is a great way to pamper yourself too.
The food that you will be served at a bed & breakfast is usually worth the stay all by itself. Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee brewing or other familiar smells may remind you of home. However, you can simply come to the table and enjoy the meal. You won’t have to make it or clean up afterwards.
Traveling can really make a person long for the simple pleasures of home. With a bed & breakfast, you can readily access some of those things you have often taken for granted while you are home. You should be able to relax and feel very comfortable at a bed & breakfast location just like you would at home.
For those that have been curious about what bed & breakfast locations have to offer, the best thing to do is make a reservation to stay in one. Once someone does though they may decide that is the only way to travel. Since there are generally bed & breakfast locations to be found all over, a person can easily get away from having to deal with hotel rooms.
Bed & breakfast locations can often be a great solution when you don’t have enough room to accommodate all the guests that are coming for a particular event. It is much more personal than just placing them in a hotel. If your guests have never stayed at a bed & breakfast before, they will find it to be a very exciting experience. After that, they may never go back to staying in an ordinary hotel again.
The little things are what really make the difference with the top rated bed & breakfast locations. Hotels often miss these details and as a result guests don’t feel valued while they are staying there. Almost everyone that has the option to stay at a bed & breakfast over a hotel will do so as long as they have had good experiences with this type of establishment in the past.
Word of mouth and the reviews that people post about your bed & breakfast online are going to bring you more customers as long as you continue to exceed the expectations of your guests. Some bed & breakfast locations even have to turn away requests for reservations as they are booked solid for their rooms.

Bed and breakfasts definitely have lots of advantages over hotels, but as you mentioned they’re often hard to book because they’re less common. When bed and breakfasts aren’t an option (or for longer stays), renting a house or condo is also a great option. It’s nice to get away from the hotel scene and experience a place from a more local point of view sometimes.

My wife and I LOVE b and b’s. They are personal and quaint. IF you haven’t stayed, highly recommend it.

Very nice post! I am a hotel person but reading this post made me think of the huge difference of the two. Bed and breakfast is easy to avail. Aside from not causing too much effort, your pocket is safe and unharmed. In short, it’s cheaper than hotel. You can really save money while traveling. Though one question though, how about bathroom privileges? Or tv privileges? Are they part of the package?

I find that B&Bs offer a level of hospitality even 5-star hotels can only dream of. You really do feel like an individual and that your needs are of genuine concern to the owners of the B&B. There is a nice feeling you get when walking into a lovely luxurious hotel room in a foreign country, but the feeling of warmth you get from a pleasant B&B stay is unique and unmatched.

Its true that the accessibility with bed and breakfast is good. We can relax and the things will be ready and no need to worry for the things done as like when we are in home. It’s a homely kind feeling while we spending our holidays with bed and breakfast location.

Good and informative article.I am still trying to educate the lacal Finnish People to open b&b`s.
Unfortunately the mmajority of Finns believe in privacy,so opening there home to guests is strange to thei culture and customs.
All I can reccommend for Travelers to Finland is local hostels.Safe & Secure & does not cosgt nearly as much as a hotel

The wife and I both enjoy a bed-and-breakfast over a hotel. They are always more in touch with the local entertainment and history. I feel we always get more out of a getaway when we stay at a bed-and-breakfast.

Many B&B’s have websites and prices can vary. For example, Cape May has a ton of B&B’s and there are parking issues to look out for. Some have a lot, some don’t. Some also have free bikes so you can ride around town. Little stuff like that can really add to your stay.
