Can def vouch for being nice to the flight crew. I was displaced due to a rowdy customer and a staff member bought me a few free drinks. Made the 6 hour flight whiz by.

Honestly in today’s world you really need to get on the plane first just so they don’t check your carry on luggage. More and more now, with extra bag and checked bag fees, people are choosing to carry on all their luggage. It is getting to the point where the everybody uses the max two bag rule, and the last on the plane end up having to check their bags.

Great tips, I will definitely be trying to get seats near the front of the aircraft from now on. Not being a great flyer I dread turbulence and always tried to get seats in the middle thinking these were the “smoothest”.

Thanks for the tips. I travel quite often and there are some that I didn’t know about before. I might add to that: try to avoid being in the same security check line as elderly people and people with kids.

Great tips! On many plains seats next to emergency exits will have a lot of extra leg room. You could often get these seat when choosing the seats during purchasing tickets online.
