Travel Tips
In case a person travels abroad, an individual needs to ensure that they have the requisite documents such as visa and passport for traveling to a particular country. It is not essential that a person who travels needs to be a stereotype “traveler” in most cases. There could also be other reasons as to why people travel. While some people undergo traveling citing job requirements, others travel due to business reasons or for attending training sessions. Some others embark on traveling so as to gather with friends and family members from far away places.
Traveling Prerequisites:
When a traveler embarks on traveling abroad, he needs to ensure that he has all the requisite documents such as a visa and a passport for traveling to that particular nation. A traveler has to exercise certain care while purchasing tickets. Also, travelers need to stock themselves with cash of the country of their destination.
In ancient period, the mode of traveling was limited to walking on foot from one place to another on land and undertaking long sea voyages while in the sea. Currently, there are various modes of transportation that a traveler can employ for traveling purposes. This may include bus, car, airplane, boat, train, bicycle, or even walking. For traveling over long distances, usually train or a plane would be the preferred mode of transportation. Additionally, for traveling over short distances, bicycle, car, bus or even walking are the favored transportation modes.
For people, who want to travel over short distance but don’t have a car with them, hitchhiking would be the best option. The suitcases or luggage carried by individuals vary depending on the duration and length of the trip. For individuals, who embark on a shorter trip, a tote bag, a knapsack, a small rucksack or a briefcase would be sufficient.
Advantages of Traveling:
There are numerous advantages of traveling. These include adventure, excitement and fun of watching a new place and knowing about the new cultures and customs of that region. However, there are some disadvantages also. While traveling, it may be possible that an individual might not experience the same level of comfort that is experienced while at home. Additionally, there may also be various barriers such as food barrier, language barrier, and social barrier. Whenever, an individual embarks on traveling, he needs to ensure a safe journey.

These are some pretty good travel tips but I’m not sure if I agree with the part about hitchhiking being the best option for short distance travel.
Other than that, you pretty much covered all the basics. There are things to make sure of before going ahead and traveling, and there are always things to prepare for as far as your destination goes.

When you describe traveling as just going from point A to point B, it really makes me feel that I should be traveling more especially considering the much more formidable obstacles people faced in making these journeys in days gone by. Time to travel!

These are some great tips, however I don’t agree with hitchhiking depending on the country or area this can be quite dangerous, but I guess if you don’t mind the risk its worth it to save a few bucks.

What I have learned from my experience is you should always keep your luggage lighter, heavy luggage is sometime a big problem while traveling especially when you are on a long journey.

Your travel tips are very helpful who are not know that how to enjoy in travel.
Keeping a comfortable backpack with all the important and necessary documentation safe and always closeby is the best by far. Along with the extra big luggage bag on wheels.
this tips are great, and yes, traveling is great because of getting to know how other cultures live and think. also from my experience i find it best to use a backpack for all your stuff, i mean like a big backpack, a 80 liters or something like that. it’s easier to maneuver and keeps your hands free.

Thanks for the tips! I too enjoy travel whenever possible. The planning for me is as much fun as the travel and the eventual arrival at the destination. On the rare occasion I have been fortunate in that my travel was for extended periods. This takes on another approach and requires multiple challenges, and extended fun of the unknown. Traveling by sail is one of the most challenging and enjoyable experiences you can encounter. Live a board boats, well I hope you are organized and ready for the extremes.

I am an avid traveller too, and I know that being prepared while travelling so really helps. I am one of those that sticks by lists wherever needed and have mentioned much the same in my travel planning tips. If you don’t believe in lists, perhaps what you read below changes your mind

Thanks for the handy tips about traveling. People also need to research whether or not they need shots before traveling abroad. Although I am sure the majority of hitchhikers are safe, I am not sure I agree with doing it, especially in a foreign country.

I had this experience. i booked a hotel in singapore, i made a mistake booked it the wrong month, i was kinda stupid. hehehehe, remember check always booking dates in hotels and flights.

Some little advice for newbies:
“If you not from U.S. then before leave you country buy some U.S. dollars (some=you will spend in you trip). In destination country exchange dollars into their currency. If after your trip you still have some their money then, before you go home, exchange them into U.S. dollars. When you come home exchange U.S. dollars to your currency.”
With this little trick you will lost less on conversion of currencies.

I agree with the documentation point, it is very important part when you want to traveling, but it is quite often we miss them until we realize that something we must face in our traveling, and it is unpleasant.

I think the most important think when you travel in another country is to inform very well regarding to the people and the places. You must have the local currency with you when you arrive and you must pay the cab or something else. And be careful with your papers because are very important !
Pack your VISA and Passport before you pack anything. I use to backpack a fair bit in my day up and down the coast of QLD, Australia and Europe. Guess how many times a final inspection of our bags found some person didn’t have their passport? Too many!
