Cod Liver Oil
There is not much to be said about fish oil that has not been talked about before. Everyone knows that is tastes bad, but it is good for you. I used to give it to my kids daily but never took it myself leading them to grow up to be super humans in both genders. All fish oil is said to be equal yet recently it has been discovered that some are better than others.
Fish oil is extracted from the tissue of the fatter and darker oil rich fish, such as tuna, salmon, cod, herring, sardines, and mackerel. Cod liver oil has Vitamin A and Vitamin D as well as Omega 3 fats. These are essential for a healthy body and mind, especially for individuals that fail to get enough natural sunshine.
Fish oils contain polyunsaturated fat called Omega 3 fatty acids, which the body needs yet does not produce naturally. Some people feel that if God mean for humans to have the fatty acids that He would have made us fish instead of human. Overlooking this fact, there are three types of Omega 3 fatty acids: a-Linolenic Acid called ALA, Docosaheaenoic Acid called DHA, and Eicosapentaenoic Acid called ELA. These are the good types of fish oil.
Current research shows that the ratio of the two vitamins (A & D) are extremely important to maximize health benefits yet cod liver oil fails to have the proper ratios. This means that the old fashion beliefs of cod liver oil being enough to keep the kids healthy is not enough by today’s standards with the older methods of forcing kids to take the oil with their eye closed, holding their noses and swallowing what we thought was good for them.

I was in personal training for awhile, and so many people were wasting their time in the gym. Working out and exercising is great, but if you don’t have the vitamins, water, and diet to rebuild it is pointless. Omega 3′s, Vitamin D, etc. are all great recommendations!

I dont think people realize the importance of eating enough healthy fat, maybe perhaps omega 3 in particular. I heard a story about a kid that was born with the cranium being to large for his brain; the brain actually being to small for the cranium. Now, off course this was a major problem and the doctors feared that the kid would die if they didn`t think of a solution. And guess what happened? Alternative medicine was the answer, feeding the kid large ammounts of healthy fat, in particular omega 3. Now, two-thirds of a human brain is fat, and giving the baby fat actually made his brain grow, it filled the cranium entirely, and he survived. Not saying your brain will grow if you eat a lot of omega 3, but it will certainly be healthy for you.

Even though I was something of a brand whore. I am always careful in choosing my liver / fish oil supplement such as poor quality will only give you some advantages also mean that you throw your money.
