Well in all fairness, there are many countries that do not even have historical castles within their borders. Unfortunately, in those countries you are not very likely to find any Castle Hotels and certainly not to discover any castles that are hundreds of years old being used as hotels. Fortunately, Europe is full of Ancient Castles and many of them, refurbished or not, have been converted into a truly unique hotel experience within genuine castle walls.

Many of the most famous castles that are being used as Hotels are in Scotland, Ireland and England within the United Kingdom. However, they do not in any way have a monopoly on the use of castles as hotels.
